Procedure for Legalization

(1) An application form to be filled in by the applicant.

(2) A typed covering letter to be enclosed stating reason for the legalization.

(3) The documents for legalization first have to be attested by an authorized notary.

(4) After notarization, the documents have to be taken to the Home Ministry at Mantralaya, where an authorized signatory would stamp and sign the same.

(5) After attaining the stamp and signature from the official at the Home Ministry, the documents along with one xerox copy of the same attached, can be brought to the Consulate for legalization.

 

Please take note that we only accept documents from Maharashtra and Karnataka.
