For Foreigners 1. Indian passport holders, if not for the purposes of study and residence, do not need a visa to Hong Kong, and can stay in Hong Kong for up to 14 days. 2. Passport holders of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Congo, Costa Rica, Cote dIvoire, Cuba, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Georgia, Ghana, Grenada, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Laos, Lebanon, Liberia, Moldova, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Panama, Russia, Senegal, Serbia and Mountainegro, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Togo, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam can apply for a Hong Kong visa direct from the Chinese Consulate General Following materials are required. a. A completed Hong Kong Visa Application Form with a passport photo affixed; b. Applicant's valid passport; c. A photo copy of Indian Residence Permit, or valid Indian visa. 3. Passport holders of Afghanistan, , Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Sudan, Syria, Angola, Sierra Leone, Libya, D.P.R.Korea, Palestine, Nigeria and Nepal can apply for a Hong Kong visa through the Chinese Consulate General for Hong Kong Immigration approval. Following materials are required: a. A completed HONG KONG VISA APPLICATION FORM with a passport photo affixed; b. Applicant's valid passport, a photocopy of the passport data page and Indian visa; c. Certificate of employment; d. Invitation letter from Hong Kong; e. Certificate of financial status; f. Information of sponsor or contact person in Hong Kong. 4. Passport holders of other countries, if not for the purposes of work, training, study and residence, do not need a visa to Hong Kong for tourism, and can stay in Hong Kong for a varied period of time. 5. All Indian passport holders need to apply for a Hong Kong visa if their stay in Hong Kong exceeds more than fourteen days. The procedure takes around four to six weeks. All documents will be sent to Hong Kong for approval from Hong Kong Immigration. Processing of such applications may take 4 weeks. Applicants should provide the following documents with regard to their purpose of visit: (a). Photocopy of passport details and 1 visa application form with 2 colour photographs; b). Covering letter from the applicant's company or organization stating purpose of travel for long stay in Hong Kong; (c). Original invitation letter from the contacting party in Hong Kong, namely, business counterpart or relatives or friends in Hong Kong; (d). Letter of past working experience [required for application of Employment Visa only]; (e). Diploma [required for application of Employment Visa only]; (f). Chinese passport holders possessing a confirmed onward air ticket, who plan to transit Hong Kong, do not require any Entry Permit to Hong Kong for a maximum stay up to 7 days; 2. Overseas Chinese who have already acquired permanent residency of their residing countries may apply for single, double Entry Permit to Hong Kong with each stay not exceeding 30 days at Chinese Embassy.
