We are deeply saddened to learn Manorama Kotnis passed away on 2nd July 2015. The Chinese government, Chinese embassy in India and Chinese consulate general in Mumbai have expressed most profound condolences to Dr. Kotnis family. The Chinese Consul General, Zheng Xiyuan, on behalf of Chinese government, has visited Kotnis family and paid tribute to Dr. Manoram Kotnis.

The Kotnis family, represented by Dr. Dwarkanath Kotnis and Dr. Manorama Kotnis, are great friends of the Chinese people. They have made import contribution to the Chinese people's Anti-Fascist War and the promotion of China-India friendship. The Chinese people will always keep their memories alive.

We firmly believe that the noble spirit of internationalism they represent and the great cause of China-India friendship will be carried forward from generation to negation.
