On February 8, 2024, the Chinese Consulate General in Mumbai hosted a Chinese New Year tea party for Mumbai journalists. Consul General Kong Xianhua reviewed the achievements of exchanges and cooperation with the local media in 2023, extended thanks to media friends for their support and cooperation which made positive contributions to help Indian people have better and objective understanding of China, and hoped for more cooperation to enhance mutual communication and strengthen the friendship between our two countries.

Young diplomats of the Consulate gave a briefing of CG’s signed article China’s Economy: Quantity is good, Quality is better. They introduced the achievements of China's economic development in 2023, highlighting the "golden content" of China's economy in five aspects: innovation, coordination, openess, green and sharing.

The journalists interacted actively, appreciated China's economic achievements, and looked forward to strengthening exchanges and cooperation in the coming new year.
