Consul General Mr. Tang Guocai Visits Pune
On April 18-19, Mr. Tang Guocai, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Mumbai, paid a visit to Pune, Maharashtra, where he attended a symposium in memory of Dr. Dwarakanath Kotnis co-organized by the Chinese Consulate in Mumbai,  Dwarakanath Kotnis Memorial Committee and Deccan College. Mr. V. Shinde, President of Deccan College, Mr. Shrikant Kotnis, younger brother of Dr. Dwarakanath Kotnis, and Mr. Rajendra Jadhav, founder of Dwarakanath Kotnis Memorial Committee, attended the symposium.

Mr. Tang said that the meeting between top leaders of China and India in Wuhan injects a fresh boost to the relationship between two countries. Both China and India are endowed with ancient civilization and  the internationalist spirit of Dr. Dwarakanath Kotnis is the embodiment of  longtime-cherished tradition and culture of the two peoples.  The young generation should learn from Dr. Dwarakanath Kotnis and renew the China-India friendship. Mr. Tang further emphasized that China and India should join hands to safeguard regional and world peace, promote mutual development and rejuvenate both nations to build a close community of shared future.

Deputy Consul General Wang Yanhua, Vice Consul Sun Xianpu and Consular Attache Fan Haonan attended the symposium.
