Consul General Tang Guocai attends the "2019 China Tour" Event Organized by the Trans-Asian Chamber of Commerce

A few days ago, Consul General Tang Guocai was invited to the "2019 China Tour" event organized by the Trans-Asian Chamber of Commerce (TACCI). The Consulate General in Mumbai organized members of the Trans-Asian Chamber of Commerce to visit China to share their experiences and feelings in China not long ago. Mr.Tang made a keynote speech. Commercial Counsellor Wang Shicai and his successor Liu Mingming attended the event.

Mr.Tang congratulated the delegation on its successful visit to China and encouraged more Indian economic and cultural delegations to visit China. Tang introduced the current development of China-India relations and the cooperation with China in the consular district. He pointed out that since the informal meeting between President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Modi of Wuhan last year, China-India relations have been on the right track of steady, healthy and rapid development. This year and the next is golden time for China-India relations. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China. Later this year, President Xi Jinping will visit India for the second informal meeting between Chinese and Indian leaders. Sino-Indian high-level exchanges and cooperation in various fields continue to heat up. Next year is the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and India. China is willing to work with India to hold a series of celebrations.

Mr.Tang said that economic and cultural exchanges are the two wheels that promote positive development of China-India relations. Economic cooperation is an important pillar of the development of relations between the two countries. For example, the two sides have broad prospects for cooperation in the agricultural field. China is the country with the largest demand and imports of cotton, and India is one of China's most important cotton import sources. Chief Minister Mr Fadenavis also stated recently that China is India's most important trading partner and has provided India with a broad market. China and India are both ancient civilizations of the world. Culture is the bridge for the Chinese and Indian people to enhance understanding and deepen friendship. In recent years, Bollywood movies represented by "Wrestling Daddy" have swept China, and many Indian film and television stars have come to China to participate in the film. production. Not long ago, the famous Bollywood actress Fatima Sana Sakha was invited to China to attend the Jackie Chan International Film Week awards ceremony and won the jury award. Mr. Tang emphasized that Mr. Deng Xiaoping pointed out that only when China and India rise together can the Asian century really come. This land has the largest population, the highest mountains and the oldest civilization. In the era of economic globalization, China and India are staunch supporters of trade multilateralism and share common concerns in safeguarding the rights and interests of developing countries. For a period of time, a country in the West has been engaged in "unilateralism" and "trade bullying". Both China and India have been significantly affected, and the world trade situation has been severely impacted. In the face of external pressure, China and India are more firmly integrated into the general direction of the world economy and have issued a strong voice in the era of opposition to protectionism and embrace of economic globalization. The Trans-Asian Chamber of Commerce is committed to advancing Sino-Indian cooperation for a long time and is also an important place to witness cooperation between the two countries.
