Consul General Mr. Tang Guocai Meets with Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka State

On February 8, Mr. Tang Guocai, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Mumbai, met with Mr. Ashwath Narayan, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Information Technology and Biotechnology, Science and Technology and Skill development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood of the Karnataka State. Consul Deng Xingsheng and Consul Wang Ang attended the event.

Mr. Narayan said the Karnataka State Government is pressing ahead with structural reform and infrastructure and electric vehicle are the 2 main directions. Chinese companies are most welcome to invest in related fields. Mr. Tang hailed that Karnataka is the technological and economic center of India, adding that the Consulate is willing to do its bit to promote economic and cultural cooperation between Karnataka and the Chinese side.

 

Mr. Tang briefed Mr. Narayan on China's prevention and control efforts of NCP Epidemic, emphasizing that the Chinese people have full confidence and capability to win the battle.

Mr. Thackeray appreciated the measures taken by China and shared the view that China will eventually prevail over the battle against the epidemic. He sent New Year’s greeting to the Chinese people.
